Peacefully at the Colville Manor, Souris, Theresa Genevieve Kelly (nee MacIntyre) joined her husband Frank, daughter Paula and son Basil on Saturday, November 14, 2015, aged 90 years. Theresa is survived by her children: Glen (Debra), Marshfield; Marian (Joe) Gormley, Marshfield; Anne (Willie) Koughan, Stratford; Donnie (Paulette), Suffolk; Dave (Maria), St. Eleanors; Allan (Kelly), Souris Line Road; Andy, Pisquid; Helen (Scott) Chapman, Stratford; Kevin (Sharon) Goose River; grandchildren: Kathleen (Steve Cassidy), Joshua, Deanna, Martha Corrigan; Laura (Joe Velaidum), Tim, Monica, Marilyn Kelly; Ellen(Kirk), Grace (Cale) Gormley; Karla, Sam (Emily Kate) , Marcus (Katie) Koughan; Matthew (Karen), Myranda Kelly; Liam, Cameron Kelly; Jill, Steve Chapman; Stephanie (David Hughes), Kyle Lutz (Courtenay); Ava, Olivia Kelly and six great grandchildren; sister: Rita Evans (Dr. Frank Evans – deceased), Oakville, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Pearl MacIntyre, Rita Power, Ruth Heron, Eileen Larkin, Ione Kelly, Bernice Kelly, Helen Milne and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents: Frank Cussie and Mary Ellen (MacDonald) MacIntyre; brothers: Alex, Aeneas and Ivan; sisters: Mary (Joe) Kelly, Lena (Brendon) Driscoll, Lucy (Dan) O’Connell, Frances (Fred) McKenna and Ada (Tiny) MacIntyre. Theresa grew up at MacIntyre’s Creek (Crick) near St. Andrews and was a proud descendent of the McIntyres/MacDonalds of Blooming Point and Bishop MacEachern family. Theresa was a school teacher and while teaching in Peakes, she met the ‘Love of her Life’, Frank. They enjoyed fifty-four happy years together on the family farm on the Kelly Mountain Road in Pisquid where they raised their eleven children. Theresa’s proudest moments were being a mother, a grandmother and great grandmother and taught all who knew her to cherish nature, family and faith. Resting at St. Cuthbert’s church in St. Teresa with visitation on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm and from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral mass at 2:00pm on Wednesday November 18, 2015. Memorial donations may be made to the Colville Manor or Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Coop. Theresa’s family is forever grateful to the staff of Colville Manor for making her new home there so joyful.
