Peacefully with family by his side, the death occurred at Colville Manor in Souris on February 26, 2024 of Sheldon Cyril Bowley, formerly of Morell aged 92. Survived by his son, Brian (Suzanne) Bowley; his daughter, Debbie (Wally) Malanczuk; and by grandchildren, Angelena (José), Adam (Lisa), Steven (Krystal) and Marc (Maria). He will be also dearly missed by his great grandchildren, Alivia, Ava, Tatianna, Steven Jr., Kolton and Valentina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hudson and Eva Bowley; by his wife, Loraine; and siblings Doris MacGregor (George), Heath Bowley (Elsie) and Kathyrn Younker (Ira). Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Tuesday, March 05, 2024 from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Midgell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheldon’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of PEI.
The funeral service for the late Sheldon Cyril Bowley was held on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 at North Shore Funeral Home, with the Rev. T. Kevin Dingwell officiating. Pallbearers were Brian Bowley Jose Gomez, Wally Malanczuk, Adam Malanczuk, Steven Malanczuk, and Dr. Ray Wenn. Acting as Honorary Pallbearers were Marc Malanczuk, Darlene Greer, Wendell MacGregor, Charmaine MacGregor, Ralph Bowley and Gary Bowley. Flower Bearers were Suzanne Bowley and Debbie Malanczuk. Words of Remembrance were offered by Angelena Bowley, Adam Malanczuk, and Dr. Ray Wenn. Music was provided by Jacinta MacDonald singing, Be Not Afraid, Come to the Water and How Great Thou Art. Interment will take place later in Midgell Cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
