Peacefully, at home and surrounded by his family, on Monday, February 2, 2009, of Robert (Bob) James Myers of Head of Hillsboro, aged 72 years, beloved husband for 45 years of Elva (Hennessey). Dear father of Steven (Linda), Charlottetown, Randy (Patti), Stratford, Paul (Laura), Langley, B.C. and Colleen (Mike), Tracadie. Loving Grampie to Steven, Haley, Jenna, Laurel, Craig, Erik, Travis and Colin. Dear brother of Marion (Murray) MacCallum, Montreal, Que., Pearl (Robert) Brownstein, Burlington, Ont., Marguerite O'Holloran, Mississauga, Ont., Elaine (Carl) Feehan, Pisquid, Kenneth (Regina), Mount Stewart, and Frances (Rocco) Flocarri, Bradford, Ont. Also survived by sisters-in-law Mary (Malcolm) Campbell, Stanhope, Shirley Hannah, Vancouver, B.C., Anne (Vernon) Garrett, East Baltic; brothers-in-law, Charles Corkum, Summerside, Joseph (Regina) Hennessey, Elmira, John (Lisa) Hennessey, Charlottetown, Frankie (Lorraine) Hennessey, Souris, Sterling Hennessey, Edmonton, AB.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents Walter J. (Hollie) and Lauretta (Gormley) Myers, parents-in-law Lennie and Patricia (Deagle) Hennessey, sister Gertrude Corkum, brothers-in-law Daniel Trainor and Jack O'Holloran, sister-in-law Joanne Hennessey, and grandson Greg Bernard. Remains resting at the Lounge of St. Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Church, St. Teresa, for visitation on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. There will be no viewing on the day of the funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 6, 2009 at St. Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at St. Cuthbert's Parish Cemetery. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to St. Cuthbert's Cemetery Fund or to the Alzheimer's Society.
