The death occurred on January 06, 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Robert Lee Crane of Charlottetown, formerly of Fanningbrook in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Donnelly). Loving uncle of Cory (Tracy) MacDonald; special poppy to Natalie and Paige MacDonald. Also survived by his siblings, Joan McCreight, Dorothy Vaile (Clifford), and Kenny Crane (Donna); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Bertha Crane; his sisters Joyce Crane, and Shirley (Gordon) MacDonald; brothers and sisters in-law, Maurice McCreight, Stephen and Doris Macdonald as well as nephew, Vernon MacDonald. Resting at North Shore funeral home in Morell for visitation on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral service to be held at North Shore Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM. The funeral for the late Robert Lee Crane was held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell with Father Danny Wilson officiating. The readings were read by Tracy MacDonald. Father Wilson read the gospel and delivered the homily. The pallbearers consisted of Bernie Feehan, Archie McKinnon, Roy Coffin, Lloyd Jay, Nathan Jay, and Leonard McNally. Honorary pallbearers included everyone in attendance. Flower Bearers were Natalie MacDonald and Paige MacDonald. Music was provided by Arlene van Diepen, singing, Amazing Grace, Rest in God Alone, I Will Never Forget You, and How Great Thou Art. Interment was in St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Teresa. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
