The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Thursday, January 19, 2012, of Rita Mae MacMillan (nee Hogan), formerly of St. Peters Bay, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband, Louis J. MacMillan. Survived by children: Joe (Brenda), Cornwall; Judy Lewis (Robert), North Bedeque; Janet MacDonald (Clarence), St. Peters Bay; and Jerry, St. Peters Bay. Also survived by her grand-children: Craig, Brent and Ann Lewis, Denise Lewis Fleming, Chad MacMillan, Chole MacMillan-Wise, Marcel, Darnell and Kinnell MacDonald, Shannell MacKinnon, Jerina and Brenlae MacMillan; by ten great grandchildren; and by sisters-in-law Mary MacMillan, St. Peters Bay; Leah Hogan, Morell; and Moira MacMillan,Truro, N.S. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Mae (nee Goodfellow) Hogan, by sisters Helena O*Brien (Jerome), Mary Murphy (Harold), Clara Mullen (John), by brothers Wilfred Hogan and Jimmy Hogan (Mary), by brothers-in-law Martin and Willie MacMillan, sister-in-law Mary McCormack (Frank) and by her infant great granddaughter, Taya MacDonald. Resting at the Dr. Roddie Community Centre, St. Peters Bay, for visitation on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. on Saturday, at St. Peters Bay Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Peters Bay Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made in Rita*s memory to the Souris Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
