Richard "Ricky" Kok Obituary

We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Richard Henry Kok, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, of Charlottetown, formerly of Morell age 63. Loving father to Kyla (Marc) and Evan (Darcy) and “Opa” to his precious grandbabies Eli, Simon and Maeve. Survived by his brother Michael (Therese) Kok and nieces and nephew; Danielle (Brandon), Brandon, Erica, Chantal (Braden), Annick (Devon) and Ashley (Nathanial).  Also survived by the mother of his children, Lisa Affleck and the grandmother of his children, Connie Affleck.  Predeceased by his parents, Theodorus “Ted” and Mary Kok.
Known affectionately as “Ricky,” he always had time for a smile, handshake and a good chat. After a 35 year long career he was able to take an early retirement at 55 years old. He spent his time doing what he loved: winters traveling down south, weekly breakfast dates with the gang at Budley’s and hot summer days at Brackley Beach.  In the evenings, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Go Leafs Go. The highlight of his week however was always the visits with his three grandchildren, often making trips to both houses to spend as much time as possible with all of them. Nothing brought him more pride or joy than the happiness of his children and their families.
Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.  Visitation to be held Friday, July 22, 2022, 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Funeral mass to be held July 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell.  Interment, family only, to follow in the parish cemetery.  If so desired, donations in Ricky’s memory may be sent to evankok_3@hotmail.com, with all funds to directly benefit the education of his three grandchildren.  To send a condolence to the family, please see below.
