Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on October 14, 2010, of Rev. A. Charles MacDonald, retired priest of the Diocese of Charlottetown, age 82 years. Survived by his sisters Mary (the late Emmett) MacDonald, Charlottetown, and Bernadette (the late Basil) McLeod, London, Ontario, and foster brother Joseph (Joan) MacPhee, Belleville, Ontario. Special uncle to several nephews and nieces including Ken (Lorraine) MacDonald, Stratford, PE, Virginia (Allen) Flood, Charlottetown and Sister Rosemary MacDonald, CSM, Charlottetown. Predeceased by his parents Aeneas and Margaret (MacLellan) MacDonald, siblings: John, Rita (Tom) McCarthy, Frances (Louis) Trainor and Augustine MacDonald and niece, Maureen (MacDonald) Rogerson. Resting at St. Dunstan's Basilica for visitation on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 from 7 -9 pm with remains transferred to St. George's Church, St. George's for visitation on Monday, Oct 18 from 2 -5 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00 am. Donations in Fr. Charlie's memory may be made to St. George's Cemetery Fund, to the Latin American Mission Program, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
