Raymond Kelly Obituary

The death occurred on February 02, 2022 of Raymond Albert Kelly of Charlottetown and Toronto, aged 87. Beloved husband of Patricia; father of Michael Kelly (Carolyn), Pickering ON, Coleen Kelly, Ajax ON, and Linda Kelly (Grant Stickle), Pickering ON. He will also sadly be missed by his grandchildren, Courtney Kelly, Daniel Kelly, both of Pickering ON, Jade Kelly of Ajax ON, and Christopher Lackie (Sarah) of Ottawa ON; great grandchildren Fox and Grayson Lackie of Ottawa ON; as well as his sister, Louise Kelly, Toronto ON; sister-in-law Renie Webster (Garth); brothers-in-law, David Campbell and Jim McCabe; nieces, Erin McGonnell (Glen) PE, and Lisa Yusko, Toronto ON; and nephew Gary Gonsalves, Toronto ON. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Veronica (Trainor) Kelly; his brother, John Kelly (Eileen), and sisters-in-law, Eileen McCabe and Joyce Robbins (Garnet). Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford for a private visitation. Funeral mass and interment to be held at a later date in the Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. The memorial service for the late Raymond Albert Kelly of Charlottetown, formerly of Morell and Toronto, who died on February 2, 2022, was held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Hillsboro Funeral Home Chapel, Stratford, with Father Keith Kennific officiating. Son Michael Kelly gave words of remembrance and read the poem Desiderata. The first scripture reading was read by daughter Coleen Kelly, while niece, Erin McGomell. proclaimed the second reading. Lynda MacDonald offered the prayers of intercession. Father Kennific read the gospel and delivered the homily. The soloist was Gay Hood, who sang the Processional, Here I am, Lord, Responsorial Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd, and Recessional, Danny Boy. The graveside service, with Father Kennific officiating, followed in the Charlottetown Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Pallbearers were son, Michael Kelly, son-in-law Grant Stickle, grandsons Daniel Kelly and Christopher Lackie. Following the committal service, a reception was held at the Jack Blanchard Centre, Charlottetown. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
