The death occurred peacefully on November 23, 2011 at the QEH in Charlottetown, with his family by his side, of Pius Andrew Fitzpatrick of Newport, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his wife, Constance (Connie)nee Scully and by his daughter, Betty and son in law, Winnie Yorston. Survived by his sons; Kevin, Paul (Sherry), Owen and Andy, and by his daughter Donna Jean Peters (Connie). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Stancy MacPhee (Scott), Melina Peters (Buzz MacAdam), Winnie Yorston (Roberta), Russell Yorston (Kay), Chad Yorston (Ashley), Krystle, Amanda, Joseph, Lindsay, Cody and Logan Fitzpatrick. Also by his great grandchildren; Miles (Stacey), Luke, Zoe, Mokoto, Tyler, Hunter, Dalton, Christopher, Drew, Ethan, Kezlee and Sophie. Also survived by his brother, Donnie (Pearl) Fitzpatrick, his sisters; Irene Johnston (Maurice deceased), Theresa Wilson (Tommy deceased), Eileen Morrison (Freddie),brother in law; Angus (Cornie) Morrison, and by his sister in law, Agnes Arsenault , as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Marie Fitzpatrick, by his brothers; Joseph (Theresa Haggarty), Ralph, Gerald and Leonard (Garnett), as well as two infant brothers. Also predeceased by his sisters; Lizzie Victor (Wilfred), Mary MacLean (Andy) and Edna Morrison. Resting at St. George's Church Lounge, St. George's, on Friday, November 25, 2011 for visitation from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral mass on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. George's Roman Catholic Church, St. George's. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pius' memory, may be made to St. George's cemetery fund, The Canadian Diabeters Association or to the PEI Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
