Phyllis Muriel Dingwell (nee Webster) of Midgell, born May 24, 1919, widow of the late J. Walter Dingwell, went home peacefully to her Lord surrounded by her loving family at the home of her granddaughter, in Bristol on March 8, 2010. Dear mother of Helene McFadden of Midgell, Rodney (Patsy) of Marie, Blois (Diane) of Midgell, Rev Kevin (Kathy) of Pisquid, and mother-in-law of Diane Dingwell of Midgell. Predeceased by her daughter, June Lea of Victoria, sons Borden, in infancy, and Brian of Midgell, and granddaughter, Terri Lee Dingwell, and sons-in-law, Robert McFadden and Walter Lea. Also predeceased by her sister Hilda (Percy) Robbins, and by her brothers, Everett (Emma and Marion) and the Rev Dr Roy Webster, and brother-in-law Kimball MacKay. She leaves to mourn 19 grandchildren and their families, including 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, all whom she adored and to whom she was affectionately known as "Grammie". Also her sister and soul mate, Elizabeth MacKay of Charlottetown, and her sister-in-law, Dr Grace Webster of Toronto, as well as her many nieces and nephews and an abundance of life-long friends. Family will be receiving visitors at Peter Gordon Memorial United Church, Morell from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday, March 10, with the funeral to be held from her Church at 2:00 on Thursday, March 11 with interment to follow in the Midgell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peter Gordon Memorial Church, Midgell Cemetery, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
