Mary Hazel Gallant

The death occurred peacefully at Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague on Friday, April 1, 2016, of Mary H. Gallant of Georgetown, aged 93. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah D. Gallant. Mary was the loving mother of Helen (late Arnold) Duguay, Ronald (Valerie), Roger (Arlene), Brenda (Michael Maloughney.), Paul (Sue), Pat (Elaine) and Michael, and beloved grandmother of ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by half- brother Lloyd (Betty) Murphy and half-sister Lorraine (Earl) Powers. Besides her husband, Mary was also predeceased by her infant children Hazel and Domittien, her step-children, her parents John and Hazel (nee Fish) Murphy, step-mother Agnes Murphy, brothers Brainard and Joe Murphy and sisters Jean Boudreault and Arlene Murphy. Resting at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Georgetown, for visitation on Monday, April 4, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Georgetown. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory to St. James Parish or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
