The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on November 15, 2023 of Lynn Czank of Morell aged 77 years. Survived by her sons Todd (Marina) of Vancouver BC, Wade (Crissy) of Uigg PE, Scott (Stephanie) of Millet AB, and Kent of Morell, PE; by her loving grandchildren Therron, Kyra, Ethan and Leo; and her brother-in-law Frank Czank of Vancouver BC. Predeceased by her husband Edward “Eddie” Czank; her parents, Claude and Faith Lambie; her brothers-in-law, George Czank and Joseph Czank (Mary); and by her sister-in-law Betty Solum (Van). Lynn was a devoted catholic, greatly involved with her church both in PEI and BC. She grew up sewing with her parents in the family business and continued to do so up until the time of her death. She was also actively involved in the CWL, CWA and the Lady Slipper Seniors group. She always enjoyed her children’s and grandchildren’s many activities and found solace in the simple things in life. Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral mass to be held at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Lynn’s memory may be made to St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church in Morell and would be greatly appreciated. We, the family, would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff and doctors of Kings County Memorial Hospital, especially Doctor Andrew MacLeod, as well as Souris Home Care for the care and support they provided to Lynn. A very special thank you to all the residents of Morell, and surrounding areas, who supported Lynn in so many ways for the last number of years.
The funeral for the late Winifred “Lynn” Czank was held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, with Father Brian MacDougall officiating. Placing the Pall were her sons, Todd Czank, Wade Czank, Scott Czank and Kent Czank. The first reading was read by Leo Czank, while Anne Morrison proclaimed the second reading. Barb Deviat offered the prayers of intercession. Father Brian read the gospel and delivered the homily. The Pallbearers were Todd Czank, Wade Czank, Scott Czank, Kent Czank, John Cameron and Philip Pierlot. Honorary Pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Flower Bearer was Crissy Czank. Music was provided by Jacinta MacDonald and Tom Vail singing, Processional, Here I Am Lord; Psalm, Psalm 23 – The Lord Is My Shepherd; Preparation of gifts, The Summons; Communion, On Eagles Wings; Incensing, Songs of the Angels; and Recessional, You Are Mine. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
