Leonard Joseph Ronaghan

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved father, Leonard Joseph Ronaghan, of Bangor Road, Morell, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his children, Joey (Lauriann Felix), Kelly (Jeff Byrne) and Derek (Melissa Mahar); grandchildren, Kendall, Anna May, Gage and Emily; brother-in-law, Ralph McGuigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Myrtle (MacAulay); the mother of his children, Linda M. Lutz; sisters, Mary (Jimmy) MacLean, Anna (Mike) McGuire, Helen (Johnny) Keefe, Clara McGuigan and Freda Ronaghan; brother, Seymour MacAulay; and niece and nephews, Pauline MacLean, Michael MacLean, Allan Joe MacPhee, Leonard Keefe, Brian Keefe and Jason Keefe.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

The funeral for the late Leonard Joseph Ronaghan was held on Monday, October 02, 2023, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows, with Father Brian MacDougall officiating, assisted by Father Danny Wilson. The first reading was read by Danny Ronaghan, while Chris Keefe proclaimed the second reading. Lisa MacPherson offered the prayers of intercession. Father MacDougall lead in the Psalm (Psalm 23), read the gospel and delivered the homily. Altar Servers were Leonard Kelly, Gerard Byrne and Cindy Byrne. Doris MacDonald and Marie Docherty lead in the singing: Processional, In the Garden; Communion, Peace is Flowing; Recessional, Here I am Lord. Urn bearer was son, Derek Ronaghan. Flower bearers were granddaughters, Anna May Byrne and Emily Ronaghan. Interment was in the parish cemetery, with Father Danny Wilson conducting the graveside service. Music in the cemetery was provided by Allan MacDonald and Doris MacDonald. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
