Peacefully surrounded by family the death occurred on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Kings County Memorial Hospital of Karen Mary Adele Victor (Grant), aged 66 years. Beloved wife of Joseph Victor, and devoted mother to daughters, Jennifer (Mark), Lindsay (Cameron) and granddaughter Addison whom she cherished. Born in Charlottetown on May 24, 1955, Karen grew up on the St. Patrick’s Road with her siblings that she now leaves to mourn, Marilyn (Louis) Callaghan, Eric (Mary) Grant, Joan (Errol) Flynn and Kevin Grant. Through marriage she leaves behind John (Marlene) Victor, Louis (Lorna) Victor, Lee Victor and Barb (Chris) Victor. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Rita Grant; father and mother-in-law, Kimball and Leona Victor; her sister-in-law, Bernadette Victor; and brothers-in-law, Stephen and Kenny Victor; and her nephew, Jeffrey Flynn. Karen also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation in accordance with Covid-19 restrictions. A private funeral by invitation only will be held at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church, St, Teresa, on December 27, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Karen’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of PEI or to the St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church Maintenance Fund either directly or by e-transfer to northshorefuneralhome@gmail.com. The funeral mass for the late Karen Mary Adele Victor was held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Teresa, with Father Danny Wilson officiating. Laying the Pall were Joseph Victor, Jennifer Victor, and Lindsay Victor. The first reading was read by Luanne Inman, while Linda Cain proclaimed the second reading. Marlene Victor offered the prayers of intercession. Father Wilson read the gospel and delivered the homily. Honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Pallbearers consisted of Eric Grant, Kevin Grant, Louie Victor, Lee Victor, Bobby Strongman and Ian MacDonald. Flower bearers were Alana Trainor, Sherry Flynn, Julie Grant, and Johann Victor. Music was provided by organist, Michelle MacDonald and soloist, Mary Trainor singing: Processional, On Eagles Wings; Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd; Preparation of Gifts, Come to the Water; Communion, Until We Meet Again; Incensing, Songs of the Angels; and the Recessional, The Last Mile of the Way. Interment took place in the parish Cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
