Judith “Judi” Sigsworth Obituary

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Judith “Judi” Marie Sigsworth. She passed peacefully at home in Cardigan on October 30, 2023 aged 60 years. Survived by her children, Jennifer, Jeffrey (Jennifer), and Peter (Janessa); by her brother, Barry (Florin); and by her sister-in-law, Linda. She will also be dearly missed by her partner, Paul. Predeceased by her parents, Rita and Cosmos and her brother Wayne. Resting at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Cardigan. By personal request, there will be no visitation. Funeral mass to be held at the church on Saturday, November 04, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judi’s memory may be made and would be greatly appreciated to the Ryan Kelly Bursary at Montague Regional High School and can be sent directly by cheque or by e-transfer to montagueregionalhigh@gmail.com (please include in the subject line – in memory of Judi Sigsworth for the Ryan Kelly Bursary). The funeral for the late Judith Marie Sigsworth was held on Saturday, November 04, 2023 at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Cardigan, with Father Kishor Komar Gundabathini officiating. The first reading was read by Jim MacPhee, while Martina MacDonald proclaimed the second reading. David Sigsworth offered the prayers of intercession. Father Kishor read the gospel and delivered the homily. The Urn Bearers were her children, Jennifer Van den Broek, Jeffrey Van den Broek, and Peter Van den Broek. Honorary Pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Flower Bearers were Linda Sigsworth, Karen Sigsworth, Janessa Van den Broek and Jennifer Zuvela. Music was provided by Ben Hogan, Janessa Van den Broek, and Angela Rice singing, Processional, Be Not Afraid; Psalm, This Alone; Preparation of gifts, Lead Me Home; Communion, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman; Meditation, I’ll Be Your Angel; Incensing, Songs of the Angels; and Recessional, an instrumental was played. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
