Joseph Francis Peters

Peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Thursday, December 24, 2009, of Joseph Francis (Frank) Peters, in his 97th year, husband of the late Anne Sophia (Annie) (nee Doucette), formerly of Mount Stewart. Beloved father of Theresa Gallant (Leonard), West St. Peters; Winnifred Murphy, Peakes Road; Bernice MacPherson (Charlie), Charlottetown; Elaine O'Connor (Joe), Charlottetown; Eldon, Charlottetown; Bernie (Teresa), Bentonville, Arkansas; James (Donna), Charlottetown; Jack (Margaret), Cape Cod, Massachusetts; and Hammond (Karen), Stratford. Also survived by brother Earnest Peters (Leona), Bedford; sister-in-law Mary Peters, Bedford; special friend Catherine Gould, Charlottetown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grat-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Severe and Mary (Gallant) Peters, St. Charles; his brothers George, Phonse, Albany, and Ambrose; and his sisters, Mary McCormack, Sophia Dougan, Nan MacIntyre, Caroline Deveaux, and Rose Doucette. Remains are resting at the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Monday, December 28, 2009, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29 at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Mount Stewart. Interment to follow in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
