John “Jackie” Paul Blackett

The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side, on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, of John Paul “Jackie” Blackett of Little Pond, aged 76 years.  Beloved husband and best friend of Rhoda (Taylor); loving father of Paul (Linda), Wanda (Denton) Ching, Scott (Angela), and Heidi (Troy) Holland; special Grampie of Kara, Kegan, Dylan, Carson, Cameron and Tristan.  Survived by brothers, Clayton and Edgar; mother-in-law, Jean Taylor; and aunt, Colleen Cole.  Predeceased by his parents, William and Edith (Dingwell) Blackett; grandsons, Griffin and William; and sister-in-law, Linda.  Those who knew Jackie will know how much he loved springtime clamming, and his memory will live on forever on the shore below his home in Little Pond.

No visitation by personal request.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations in Jackie’s memory to the Annandale United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
