John "Hubert" Gallant

Peacefully at the QEH on Monday, April 18, 2016 of John "Hubert" Gallant of Charlottetown and formerly of St. Peters Bay, age 83 years. Beloved husband of 56 years to Vera (MacIsaac) and loving father of Donna Dunphy (David), Stratford, Kathy MacDonald (Bobby), Cable Head, Danny (Chantalle), Edmonton, Richard, Charlottetown, Michelle Murphy (Shawn), St. Peters Bay, Chris, Edmonton, and Jason (Susan), Grand River. Lovingly remembered by sisters, Sally Affleck (Adrian, predeceased) and Catherine Peters (Herb), brothers-in law Hubert MacIsaac (Mae) and Joseph MacIsaac, and sister-in-law, Miriam McCabe (Joe), 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one step great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Alice (Sutherland) Gallant, sister, Frances (Ken) Comley, brother, Joseph, brother-in-law, Allie (Eleanor), and sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Peggy. Resting at the Dr. Roddy Community Centre, St. Peters Bay, for visitation on Friday, April 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Please note that there will be no visitation on Saturday morning prior to the funeral. The funeral will be held at St. Peter's Bay Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hubert's memory to the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Assn of PEI would be appreciated.
