Jakoba Carola Eveline (nee von Hahn) Pierlot

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, June 6, 2021, of Jakoba Carola Eveline Pierlot (nee von Hahn) of The Mount Continuing Care Community, Charlottetown, formerly of Green Meadows, PEI, aged 85 years, wife of Hubert Pierlot. Jakoba is also survived by her children: Louise (Charlie) MacAdam, West St. Peters; John (Mary MacDonald), Ottawa; Philip (Holly Rioux), Morell; James (Ana Andreazza), Toronto; and Teresa, West St. Peters; grandchildren Alexander MacAdam, Gregory (Julia) MacAdam, Daniel MacAdam , Ian Paul MacAdam, Thomas Pierlot, Anna Pierlot, Nicholas (Denise) Pierlot, Jessica (Joe) Wourms, Luke (Erica) Pierlot, Virginia Pierlot and Isabela Pierlot; great grandchildren Rosé Pierlot, Erik Pierlot, Edith Wourms and Darius Pierlot; siblings, Philipp (Matilde) von Hahn, Erich (Angelika) von Hahn and Cecil (Geneviève) von Hahn; sister-in-law Elizabeth (late Gérard) Pierlot; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jakoba was predeceased by her daughters, Margaret Pierlot and Elizabeth Pierlot; parents Joachim and Carola von Hahn; parents-in-law, Hubert and Marie-Louise Pierlot; siblings Hanafi (Idrea, Rohana) von Hahn, Marie (Paul) Miklachevsky and Joachim (June) von Hahn; brothers and sisters-in-law Marie-Thérèse (Joseph) De Latter, Françoise Pierlot, Louis Pierlot, Jean Pierlot, Gérard Pierlot and Cécile Pierlot-Strugnell (John Strugnell). Due to Covid-19 restrictions, visitation and funeral mass will be by invitation only. Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa, the Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021. The Mass will be live-streamed on FB at https://www.facebook.com/Holy-Trinity-Pastoral-Unit-PEI-103197078005559/. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The funeral mass for the late Jakoba Carola Eveline Pierlot (nee von Hahn) was held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, with Father Brian MacDougall officiating, accompanied by Father Danny Wilson. The Altar Server was Tobias Cheeseman. Placing the Pall were Philip Pierlot and Teresa Pierlot. The first reading was read by Virginia Pierlot, while Holly Rioux Pierlot proclaimed the second reading. Julia MacAdam offered the prayers of intercession. Father Wilson read the gospel and Father MacDougall delivered the homily. Honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Pallbearers consisted of Luke Pierlot, Gregory MacAdam, Daniel MacAdam, Ian Paul MacAdam, Philip Beaulac, and Jason Cheeseman. Flower Bearers were Jessica Wourms, Erica Pierlot, Julia MacAdam and Holly Rioux Pierlot. Music was provided by Jessica and Joe Wourms singing, Processional, Eternal Rest (Requiem Aeterna): Offertory, Confitemini Domino; Communion, Lux Aeterna; Meditation, Living in Your Love; Incensing, Farewell song – Come to Her Aid; and the Recessional, Oh My Lord, You are My Shepherd. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
