Hubert Gabriel Émile Marie Joseph Pierlot

The death occurred peacefully at The Mount Continuing Care Community, Charlottetown on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, of Hubert Gabriel Émile Marie Joseph Pierlot, formerly of Green Meadows, PEI, aged 92 years, husband of the late Jakoba (nee von Hahn). Hubert is survived by his children: Louise (Charlie) MacAdam, West St. Peters; John (Mary MacDonald), Ottawa; Philip (Holly Rioux), Morell; James (Ana Andreazza), Toronto; and Teresa, West St. Peters; grandchildren Alexander MacAdam, Gregory (Julia) MacAdam, Daniel MacAdam , Ian Paul MacAdam, Thomas Pierlot, Anna Pierlot, Nicholas (Denise) Pierlot, Jessica (Joe) Wourms, Luke (Erica) Pierlot, Virginia Pierlot and Isabela Pierlot; great grandchildren Owen MacAdam, Rosé Pierlot, Erik Pierlot, Bran Pierlot, Edith Wourms, Miller Wourms, Darius Pierlot and Katherine Pierlot; brothers-in-law, Philipp (Matilde) von Hahn, Erich (Angelika) von Hahn and Cecil (Geneviève) von Hahn; sisters-in-law Elizabeth (late Gérard) Pierlot, June (late Joachim) von Hahn and Rohana (late Hanafi) von Hahn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, Hubert was also predeceased by his daughters, Margaret Pierlot and Elizabeth Pierlot; parents, Hubert and Marie-Louise (nee de Kinder) Pierlot; parents-in-law, Joachim and Carola von Hahn; siblings Marie-Thérèse (Joseph) De Latter, Françoise Pierlot, Louis Pierlot, Jean Pierlot, Gérard Pierlot and Cécile Pierlot-Strugnell (John Strugnell); brothers- and sisters-in-law Hanafi (Idrea) von Hahn, Marie (Paul) Miklachevsky and Joachim von Hahn.  Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Monday, October 03, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Funeral mass to be held at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell on October 04, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Interment in the parish cemetery. The funeral for the late Hubert Pierlot was held on Tuesday, October 04, 2022, at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, with Father Brian MacDougall officiating. Altar servers were Megan Kelly, Mary Kelly, and Tobias Cheeseman. Laying the Pall were Daniel MacAdam and Luke Pierlot. The first reading was read by Teresa Pierlot, while Anna Pierlot proclaimed the second reading. Virginia Pierlot offered the prayers of intercession. Father MacDougall read the gospel and delivered the homily. The pallbearers consisted of Jason Cheeseman, Daniel MacAdam, Gregory MacAdam, Ian MacAdam, Luke Pierlot, Johnny van Diepen. Honorary pallbearers included everyone in attendance. Music was provided by Joe and Jessica Wourms singing, Processional, Ubi Caritas; Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd; Preparation of gifts, Jesus I Love You; Communion, Rest; Incensing, Farewell Song; and Recessional, All for Your Glory. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
