Helen Patricia MacDonald

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Patricia MacDonald on
Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Colville Manor, Souris, formerly of St. Peter’s Bay, in her 91st
year. Born in Toronto April 1st 1934 to Charles and Irene Crich, beloved sister to Roy
(deceased), Duncan (deceased), Irene (deceased), Jim, Frances (deceased) and Betty.
Cherished wife of the late Eugene MacDonald (2020) and loving mother to Roderick
(Diane), Shirley Ann (deceased), Roy (Colette), and Richard (Valerie) MacDonald.
Helen loved children, especially proud of her grandchildren Riley, Callum and Evan
MacDonald. She had a great sense of humour, a smile that lit up a room, made friends
easily and, having lost her only daughter at 2 months, held a special place in her heart
for little girls. There will be a funeral mass for Helen and Eugene on August 20, 2024 at
11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Bay. Interment will follow
in the parish cemetery. All are welcome to attend the reception to follow at the Dr.
Roddie Community Centre, St. Peter’s Bay. The family would like to acknowledge the
staff at Colville Manor for their love and care provided to Helen and Eugene. If desired,
donations in memory of Helen and Eugene to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St.
Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
