Age 90, of De Gros Marsh, PEI, passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elvie (Neiforth) McDow. She was born and lived in Dartmouth, NS until 1966 when she moved to PEI with husband Wilfred.
Gladys had a great sense of humor and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She had been active in the community and church (CWL) for many years. She knitted and crocheted and was always busy and loved the company of her good friends Stella and Flora.
Gladys is lovingly remembered by , her sons John, at home; Raymond (Barbara), East Lawrencetown, NS; David (Sheila), Montague; Bernard, at home; her daughter Coleen (Robert) Jenkins, Little Pond; her step-son Billy (Ronelda) Victor, Annandale, step-daughters Marie (Charlie) O'Halloran, Manitoba, Dianne (Bobby) Gardiner,Newport; her sister Bernice (Andy) MacEachern: 28 grand-children and many great grand-children.
Gladys was predeceased by husband Nelson in 1965, husband Wilfred in 1994, sons Eric and Leo, step-son Gerald, step-grandson Dwayne, brothers Ralph McDow and Harris McDow, and sisters Jean Horn, Doris Myles and Shirley Bennett.
Visitation will be held at St. Georges Roman Catholic Church, St. Georges, on Wednesday, June 22nd, 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be at the church at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
