Gladdie Squires

The death occurred on November 27, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, of Robert “Gladdie” Squires aged 90 years. Loving father of Debbie (Vernon Pyke), Jean (Jack MacGillivary), Sandy (Peter MacMillan), Kenny (Crystal), Mona (Wade Cudmore), Stevie and Barbie (Allan Savidant). Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters; Vera and Phyllis and brothers; Keir, Jimmy and Leigh. Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Powell); his sons, Wayne and Roddie; his parents, Nelson and Myra; brothers, Sterling, Elmer and Willard; and sisters, Pearl, Lynnie and Helen. Resting at the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell, for visitation on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Funeral to be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Peter’s Bay Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Peter’s Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gladdie’s memory, to the Humane Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
