Genevieve Marie Runighan

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Garden Home on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 of Genevieve Marie Runighan (nee Mullen) formally of Morell East in her 98th year. Devoted mother of Alycia McGuire (Brian, deceased), Gerry Runighan (Linda), Sheila Pierce (Joe), Carolyn Phelan (Robert), and Jennifer Phelan (Les). Sister of Elizabeth Smith. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Sherry, Krista, Aaron and Jonathon McGuire, Dawn, Sharlene and Chris Runighan, Kerri and Jarrod Pierce, Nick, Genna and Kelsey Phelan, as well as 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Maurice; her son, Christopher; her parents, Patrick and Catherine (Ryan) Mullen; her brothers, Jim, Pat, and John (twin); and her sisters, Mary, Eileen and Alycia (in infancy). Resting at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral mass to be held at the church on Monday, February 01, 2016, at 11:00 am. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated in Genevieve’s memory, to the Upper Room. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
