Peacefully, surrounded by family at the QEH on Tuesday August 31, 2010, Francis Ignatius MacAdam of Morell in his 89th year. He was the son of the late A.B and Tena (MacDonald) MacAdam, Morell. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Stashie (O'Hanley) and their ten children; Debby (Bill) Schlitt, Whitby, ON; J. Francis "Charlie", Morell; Susan (Fred) Cheverie, Souris; Ellen Hennessey, Charlottetown; James (Kathy), Petitcodiac; MaryLeah (Kipper) Doyle, Morell; Tony (Becky), Morell; Patty (Robert) McBean, Scotland; Peggy (Hugh) Logan, Lakeside; Mark (Kim) Morell. Sisters: Jean (William) O'Hanley, Morell; Mary (Lou) Palmer, Antigonish; brother, Walter "Babe" (Daphne) Morell; sister in-laws Helen, and Marion and brother-in-law Gil Collins. Predeceased by sisters: Rita (Cecil) McCarthy; Anna Collins; brothers: Gerry, Carl, AJ (Ethel), Bertram, Reg (Jean), and Donald (infant). Beloved Poppa to 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and much-loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a proud Veteran of WWII. Resting at St Theresa's, The Little Flower, Roman Catholic Church, Morell for visitation on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm and from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral mass to be held at St. Theresa, The Little Flower, Morell on Friday, September 03, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Francis' memory may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Prince Edward Island or to St Theresa, The Little Flower cemetery fund. The Legion will hold a service of remembrance prior to visitation on Thursday at 6:45 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
