The death occurred on August 14, 2011 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital of Ernst Friedrich Karl Gerdts of Fortune Bridge aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Rosalie (nee Giersdorf). Dear father of Alfred Alfs, Wolfgang Alfs, Gisela Alfs, Reiner Gerdts, and Andy (Gertrude) Gerdts. Also survived by his brother Adolph and his sister Gisela. Predeceased by brothers; Gerhardt, Richard, Bernhardt, and by his sister Gerda. Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral service to be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 10:30 am at the funeral home, Morell. Interment in Union Cemetery, Souris West. Funeral under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
