The death occurred peacefully on April 30, 2023 of Emmett Peter Conrad “Hooker” Murphy, aged 83 of Morell. Survived by his loving wife Sheila (nee MacEwen); father to Sheri MacKenzie (Darren), Lori Murphy-Hume (Mark), and Gordie Murphy (Judy MacAdam). He will be dearly missed by his grandsons Kyle (Melissa), Avery, Gabriel, Connor, Patrick and Chisholm; his sisters-in-law, Marion (Allan MacPhee), Jean Anderson, and Ferne MacEwen: his brother-in-law, Sinnott Mullally; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Felbert and Nora Murphy; his siblings, Vernita Mullally, Gertrude Murphy, Aloysius Murphy (Jody), Ernest Murphy (Evelyn), Carl Murphy, and Maurice Murphy (Bernie). Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell, for visitation on Wednesday, May 03, 2023 from 6 – 9 p.m. There will be a celebration of life held at the funeral home Thursday, May 04, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Morell. Memorial donations in Emmett’s memory may be made to the Riverview Manor Activity Fund, PEI Humane Society or to PEI Parkinson’s Association. The funeral service for the Late Emmett Peter Conrad Murphy was held at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell on May 04, 2023. His daughter, Sheri MacKenzie welcomed everyone to the celebration as well as delivering the eulogy. Music was provided by Sheila MacKenzie. His daughter-in-law, Judy Murphy read a poem “Not How He Died” Father Brian MacDougall delivered the Benediction. Interment took place in St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Cemetery in Morell.
