Elizabeth "Betty Sharkie

The death occurred peacefully on April 05, 2013, at the Atlantic Baptist Home, of Betty Sharkie, formerly of Bangor, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Charlie. Survived by her children; Charles (Joy), Robert (Solange), John (Elsie), Margaret Barry (Todd), Elizabeth Gill (Richard), Alistair (Janice), Jean Geldert (St. Clair) and Agnes Sharkie (Jack), her 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters; Peggy Gleason (twin) and Jean Hayward, and by her brother, Jimmy Alexander. Also remembered by her dear friend, Jenny Hume; her sister-in-law, Chrissie Carson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, John and Hector Alexander. Resting at the Peter Gordon Memorial United Church, Morell, for visitation on Tuesday, April 09, 2013, from 7 - 9 pm only. Funeral service to be held at the church on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in the Bangor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bangor Cemetery or to the Alzheimer's Society of PEI. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
