The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge of Betty Perry, formerly of Georgetown, aged 84, wife of the late Henry Perry. Beloved mother of Linda (Joe) MacKenzie, John (Ann) Perry, Danny (Gail) Perry and Bill (Tracey) Perry, all of Georgetown; loving grandmother and great-grandmother of ten grandsons and eighteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters Isobel (late John) Cormier, Florence (Mike) MacDonald, and Brenda (late Albert) Richard, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Betty was also pre-deceased by her parents, Albert and Mary King, brother Charles King, sisters May (Paul) MacDonald and Nellie (Mary) Armstrong, brothers-in-law Charlie Perry and John (Ann) Perry and sister-in-law Lillian (George) Poirier. Resting at the Lounge of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Georgetown, for visitation on Monday, April 21, 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at St. James Roman Catholic Church at 3:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory to the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge Residents’ Fund would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home.
