The death occurred on June 23, 2016, at Park West Lodge in Charlottetown, of Edith Elaine MacPhee (nee MacLean) formerly of Newport, aged 85. Survived by her children: Kenny MacPhee (Florine), Elaine Gill, Boni Stafford, Janice Frehlich and Dianne Young (Danny); her grandchildren, Tracy MacDonald (Scott), Kerry MacPhee (Jane), Scott MacPhee (Stancy), Kim Blanchard (Mike), Kali Ann Stevens, Sarah Frehlich, Heidi Katz (Ahomn), Airley Waterman, ), and Deon MacPhee (Amanda); her grandson-in-law,Daren Ross; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sister, Gertrude Cain of Montreal; and by her sisters-in-law, Rita MacPhee, Mary Maclean, and Teresa Miller. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph MacPhee; by her parents, Cornelius and Mary Catherine MacLean; 14 siblings; her daughter, Judy Lynn in infancy; and by her grandchildren, Lennon Waterman, Lynn Ross and Lenny Farrell; as well as her sons-in-law, David Gill and Chuck Frehlich. Resting at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s, for visitation on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral mass to be held at the church on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 am. Memorial donations may be made in Edith’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
