Clayton Eric (Hank Slush) Burke

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family and friends at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2009 of Clayton Eric Burke (Hank Slush), aged 71 years. Beloved husband for 46 years of Anita Burke (nee Gotell). Loving father of Eric (Sherry) Burke, Alberta, Tommy (Amanda) Burke, Murray River, Peggy (David) McBride, Moncton and special father to Thane MacDonald and Anthony Blackett. Brother of Vera Murl (O'Brien) and brother-in-law Cecil Murl. Loving Poppy of Heather, Kevin and Carlee-Lynn Burke. Predeceased by his mother and father Thomas and Margaret Burke, his sisters Jean Murl and Mae O'Brien and his brothers Sterling Burke and Henry, Francis, Forrest and John O'Brien. Visitation on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in the MacMillan Room of All Saints Parish, Cardigan from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at All Saints Parish, Cardigan at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in Clayton's memory may be made to the All Saints Parish Cemetery Fund and the Humane Society. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home in Morell.
