Surrounded by his family, the death occurred on Sunday, September 5, 2021 of Clarence Edward Roche of Seven Mile Road, Cardigan, aged 85. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Laura (nee MacLellan); his children, Carol-Ann McLeod (Allison), Judy McIsaac (Kenny), Bobby Roche (Joanne), Susan Alberts (Jimmy), Wade Roche, Tony Roche (Jeannie), and Keith Roche (Dianne), as well as 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Vernon Roche, Lillian Lundrigan (Pat), Gladys Gardiner (Alfie), and Barbara Bailey; Sisters and brothers-in-law, May Shaw (Kenny), Rose Gallagher, Bennett MacLellan, Helen MacLellan and Marion MacLellan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Seymour and Kathleen Roche; parents-in-law, Joseph and Margaret MacLellan; his siblings, Everett Roche and Arletta Kalogeras ; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Roche, Charles Kalogeras, Russell Bailey, Barb Maclellan, Alec MacLellan, Gene MacLellan and Eddy MacLellan. Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell with no visitation by personal request. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 08, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Cardigan, by invitation only. Interment to be held in the parish cemetery. The funeral mass for the late Clarence Edward Roche was held on Wednesday, September 08, 2021 at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Cardigan, with Father Tim Broderick officiating. Placing the Pall on the casket were Carol-Ann McLeod, Judy McIsaac and Susan Alberts. The first reading was read by Bianca Roche, while Mae Shaw proclaimed the second reading as well as offered the prayers of intercession. Father Broderick read the gospel and delivered the homily. Honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Pallbearers consisted of Joey McLeod, Travis McLeod, Cody McLeod, Carter McIsaac, Luke McIsaac, Laughlan Roche, Malcolm Roche, Liam Roche, Jordan Roche, Riley Roche, Rory Roche and Caleb Roche. Flower bearers were Kristie Copple, Miriah McIsaac, Maggie Johnston, Breahanna Roche, Janda Lee MacIntyre, Erica MacInnis, Bianca Roche, Delaney Roche, and Trinity Roche. Music was provided by Lester MacPherson and Eddy Quinn singing, Processional, Morning Has Broken; Communion, How Great Thou Art; and the Recessional, Old Rugged Cross. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
