It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Chris Ryan on February 27, 2025 of Green Meadows, aged 51. Beloved son of Sheila Ryan and the late Elmer Ryan; and brother to Pat (Aneeta), Charlie (Stacey), Shawn, Phyllis, Janice, and Kevin (Rosie). Chris will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Mitch, Nick (Shelby), Matt, Conor, Allee, Kristen, Hailie, Andrew, KJ, Kaitlin; his great Niece Lexie: as well as numerous family members from the Ryan and Clow families. Predeceased by his father Elmer; brother-in-law, John MacIntyre; sister-in-law, Stacey Ryan; grandparents, Len and Gertie Ryan and Louis and Margaret Clow; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Opening day of fishing won't be the same for his fishing buddies this year without Chris, His four-legged friends will also miss their daily treats enormously.
Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell, for visitation on Sunday, March 02, 2025 from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 03, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery Fund in Chris' memory. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
Funeral
The funeral for the late Chris Elmer Ryan was held on Monday, March 03, 2025, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Green Meadows with Father Blair Bernard officiating. The urn bearer was Sheila Ryan. The first reading was read Kristen MacIntyre, Hailie Ryan proclaimed the second reading and Allee Ryan offered the prayers of intercession. Father Blair read the gospel and delivered the homily. The honorary pallbearers consisted of Shane McCarthy, Cory MacDonald, Shawn Byrne, Darcy Barry, Claire Hendricken, Darren Kennific, Melvin Ranahan and Brian Trainor. Flower Bearers were Mitch Ryan, Nick Ryan, Conor MacIntyre, Matt Ryan, Andrew Ryan, Shelby Ryan, KJ Quinn, and Kaitlyn Quinn. Distributing the funeral bulletins were Corelene McCarthy, Melissa Coffin and Kim McCarthy.l Music was provided by Nancy Anderson singing Processional, Here I am Lord: Psalm, I Will Trust; Preparation of Gifts, Come to the Water; Communion, Be Not Afraid; Meditation, Precious Lord Take My Hand; Incensing, Celtic Song of Farewell; and Recessional, When It’s Been Said and Done. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
