Charles Edward Martell

After a courageous battle with cancer, the death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, of Charles Edward Martell of Georgetown, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Schnubb) and loving father of Michelle (Chris) Moase, Laurie (Chad Tetford), and Danielle (Darcy Rafuse). Also survived by his sister, Pauline (Garfield) Maywood, and nieces Emily (the late Newman) Wight, Patricia (David) MacLeod, Megan (Dan) Burns, and Meredith (Jason) Priddle. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Gertrude (nee Gotell) and his sister Gertrude DeCoste. No visitation by personal request. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Georgetown on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. If so desired, donations to the St. James Parish Fund for the Needy in Charles' memory would be appreciated.
