On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Charlene McDonald of Charlottetown passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, at the age of 61. She was the beloved mother of LeeAnne (Ricky) Grewal, Edmonton, Alberta, and the adored grandmother of Ada. Also survived by her father and stepmother, Earl ”Skip” and Catherine “Cookie” (McGrath) McDonald, Morell; siblings Terri Nelson (Sam Oddi), Ontario; Nora Lynn Dunn, Morell; Jennifer (Doug) Dusome, Ontario; Katie McDonald, Alberta; John A. (Sarah) McDonald, Ontario; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her special friends, Darlene and John Ulvstal and family; and many other friends. Charlene was predeceased by her mother, Linda (Murphy) McDonald and her grandmothers Beatrice Murphy and Mae Gus McDonald. Charlene was a kind hearted woman, always thinking of others. Her wonderful sense of humor showed her true resilience. Her greatest joys in life were spoiling her granddaughter Ada, and trips to Lakeside beach. She will be fondly remembered by so many whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Charlene’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
