Anne Ellen McInnis Obituary

The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Monday, September 26, 2022, of Anne Ellen McInnis of Savage Harbour, PEI, aged 93.  Anne was born on May 1, 1929 to her late parents, John D. and Agnes (nee MacKinnon) McInnis, Point DeRoche.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her godson, Patrick Kelly.  Anne was the last surviving member of her family.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Rueben (Harriet), John (Laura), James (Blanche), Charles and Reginald and her sister, Mary.  Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Mount Stewart, on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. until time of the funeral mass at 4:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery.  If desired, donations in memory of Anne  to St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund or the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry would be appreciated.  Anne’s family would like to thank the staff at Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home for the exceptional care given to our aunt during the last years of her life.  To send the family an online condolence, please see below.


The funeral for the late Anne Ellen McInnis was held on Monday, October 03, 2022, at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Mount Stewart, with Father Danny Wilson officiating. Laying the Pall were Hazel Noy and Noreen Kelly. The first reading was read by Reggie McInnis, while Joan McBride proclaimed the second reading. Reggie McInnis also offered the prayers of intercession. Father Wilson read the gospel and delivered the homily. The pallbearers consisted of Delmar McInnis, Patrick Kelly, Gerard McInnis, Freddy McInnis, Shelby McInnis and Paul McInnis.. Honorary pallbearers included everyone in attendance. Music was provided by Jacinta MacDonald singing, Processional, Amazing Grace; Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd; Preparation of gifts, Come to the Water; Communion, Be Not Afraid; Incensing, Songs of the Angels; Meditation, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman; and Recessional, Old Rugged Cross. Interment was in the St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Andrew’s. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
